Veterinary Training Scholar

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Veterinary Training Scholar to join our team at the University of Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who wish to gain advanced clinical experience and contribute to cutting-edge research in small animal medicine.
About the RoleThe Junior Clinical Training Scholar will work closely with recognized specialists in various fields, including anaesthesia, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, and soft tissue surgery. You will also have the opportunity to participate in primary care cases at our charity clinics and provide supervision and guidance to final-year veterinary students.
You will be an integral part of the out-of-hours care of animals within the hospital, especially in the intensive care unit. Our high residency success rate speaks for itself, with 74% of our interns going on to pursue a residency and 100% successfully achieving a residency or completing a specialist internship program.
A competitive tax-free stipend, including accommodation in Central Cambridge and bills included, is available to successful candidates. Additionally, you will benefit from regular progress meetings, interview practice, and professional references from experienced senior clinicians to aid your residency applications.
