Course Creation Assistant

About the Job:
This role will support the Interdisciplinary Training Lead in creating new training materials for interdisciplinary doctoral students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in course creation and be able to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to develop engaging and informative content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and creation of training materials for interdisciplinary doctoral students
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to gather input and feedback on content creation
  • Assist in the facilitation of events, as required
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the training provision
  • Contribute to the development of a summary report and present findings to internal and external stakeholders

Person Requirements:
  • A keen interest in developing exploratory and interdisciplinary encounters to support doctoral student development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Effective organisational, administrative and planning skills
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in platforms such as Canvas, Zoom, and Microsoft 365 software

Location: Durham University Campus

Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum (pro rata), dependent on experience.
