We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Marine FE Analyst to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in delivering complex FEA analysis tasks and providing technical support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Execute and deliver complex FEA analysis tasks, utilizing your deep technical knowledge to support product development throughout the design lifecycle.
- Provide technical support to key customers, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of engineering outputs.
- Generate appropriate analytical methodologies for the optimisation of stress analysis studies and produce justified technical solutions, interpreting and converting analysis results into practical design outputs.
- Perform analytical studies for analysing the mechanism of kinematics, dynamics, and force analysis, utilizing ANSYS and other relevant software.
- Mechanical or structural experience within ships, with a strong understanding of FEA analysis and its applications.
- Experience in the use and application of ANSYS, LD-Dyna, or Altair Hyperworks, with a proven track record of implementing robust verification and validation processes for stress analysis.
- Proven experience in training and development of engineers in the field of stress analysis, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- HND/HNC level qualification in an engineering discipline, with experience in a relevant field and a member of a relevant institution (e.g., RINA, IET, IMechE, IMarEst etc.) with Chartered status or a route to Chartership.
