We are seeking an experienced Team Manager to join our Children's Social Care team, where you will play a critical role in shaping the future of social work in Bromley.

Salary

Up to £55,890 per annum, plus benefits such as a lease car and annual retention payment.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity involves supervising complex casework, undertaking contested care proceedings, and supporting and coaching Social Workers. You will also have the chance to assess for and provide services to children in need, working within the framework of relevant legislation and departmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a caseload of complex cases
  • Undertake contested care proceedings and represent the council in court
  • Support and coach Social Workers to improve practice standards
  • Assess and provide services to children in need, including those on the child protection register and subject to legal proceedings
  • Maintain high standards of professional practice within your workload and promote best practice across the team

Requirements
