Commercial Project Accountant Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Project Accountant to join our dynamic team at Syntech Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of key commercial projects, providing insights, and ensuring that financial targets and objectives are met.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Develop and maintain financial models for key commercial projects, ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
* Monitor and report on the financial performance of ongoing projects, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
* Collaborate closely with project managers and the commercial team to ensure financial targets are met and cost control measures are in place.
* Support financial planning activities including cash flow forecasting, project cost analysis, and variance analysis.
* Assist with project audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.

**Requirements:**

* ACCA qualified, with ideally 3+ years post qualified experience
* Proven experience working with large programmes, ideally within engineering and manufacturing
* Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel, ability to create easy to use formula's for the Finance team
* Strong knowledge in project finance principles such as Revenue Recognition, Cashflow Management, Capital investment, Monitoring ROI, CapEX approvals etc
* Experience within PLC environments and IFRS is desirable but not essential
