Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. As a key member of our Women's and Children's Directorate, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to patients across south east London and Kent.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate expertise in general obstetrics and gynaecology, with a particular focus on advance labour ward practice. You will be required to provide clinical services on a rotational basis, including hot weeks, flexible emergency cover, and unpredictable on-call shifts. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and administering the post, including supervising junior medical staff and teaching and training junior medical staff and midwives/nurses.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, with experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology, clinical risk management, audit, and research. You will also have evidence of management and administrative experience, as well as a wide experience of supervising junior medical staff and teaching and training junior medical staff and midwives/nurses. A CCT or equivalent qualification is essential, with a strong preference for those with a Benign Gynaecology ATSM and Advance Labour Ward ATSM.
