Salary: £12.60 per hour (Monday – Sunday), £13.00 per hour (Bank Holidays)

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Caregiver for Complex Medical Needs, you will be responsible for providing specialized support to our clients who require intensive and continuous care.

Your duties may include:

  • Personal Care: Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Medical Support: Monitoring and recording vital signs, administering medication under supervision, and performing simple medical tasks like wound care and catheter or feeding tube site monitoring.
  • Complex Needs Assistance: Providing care for patients with complex needs such as ventilators, tracheostomy care, or PEG feeding, managing chronic conditions, and responding to medical emergencies.

You will work closely with our team of nurses and healthcare professionals to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality care and support.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Compassion and Empathy: Essential for providing client-centered care and emotional support.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Crucial for monitoring health changes and administering care accurately.
  • Physical Stamina: Necessary for assisting patients with mobility and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Basic Medical Knowledge: Understanding of medical terminology, basic healthcare procedures, and emergency response.

Previous healthcare experience is desirable but not essential.
