Senior Manufacturing Technician

Job Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Technician to join our team at Dechra. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting and covering supervisors in their absence, ensuring the efficient and safe use of plant and equipment, and supporting a compliance culture within operations.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Manufacturing product to the highest quality standard and compliant to set GMP guidelines and procedures.
- Ensuring all activities undertaken are within set Health and Safety guidelines.
- Supporting a compliance culture within operations, ensuring all team members adhere to SOPs and other documents, and comply with their individual responsibilities to GMP.
- Attending and complying with any planned in-house training or on-the-job training.
- Capable and willing to train others in the team.
- Ensuring the efficient and safe use of plant and equipment and supporting with completion of Risk Assessments.
- Maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and personal hygiene within the department.
- Supporting and guiding the team, making routine decisions regarding safety and GMP, and notifying the Manufacturing Manager or Supervisor of any serious failures of safety or GMP that could affect staff safety or product quality.
- Identifying any issues and proactively resolving them using prescribed techniques and escalating if it cannot be resolved.
- Role modeling Operational Excellence incentives to drive and improve efficiency and challenge existing processes and behaviors, raising new ideas to improve the current norm.
- Assisting with QMS items, including deviations, CAPAs, Change Controls, and updating SOPs.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who has a proven track record of working in a highly regulated GMP manufacturing/packing facility. You will have a working knowledge and practical experience of pharmaceutical manufacture, continuous improvement activities, and the ability to manage time and workload effectively. You will also have good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety compliance.
