About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Applied Clinical Psychologist to join our Dudley Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work in a fast-paced environment to provide psychological assessments, formulation, care planning, and brief psychological interventions to individuals presenting with acute and urgent care mental health needs.

Main Duties
  • Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and formulations to inform care planning and interventions.
  • Develop and implement brief psychological interventions to support individuals in crisis.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive service to individuals and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of team policies and procedures.
  • Participate in regular reflective practice groups and supervision to support professional growth and development.

Person Specification
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in applied psychology (or its equivalent) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Postdoctoral training in one or more additional specialized areas of psychological practice.
  • HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist with Chartered Status.
  • Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Working as a qualified applied psychologist within a mental health service, including a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course, and a range of clinical severity across a range of care settings.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice relevant to the role of working with people's complex mental health difficulties.
  • Risk assessment and risk management.
