About the Role

Job Description

  • Plan and deliver engaging differentiated lessons that accommodate a variety of learning styles, ensuring each student has the opportunity to progress academically and personally.
  • Work collaboratively with SEN professionals, including teaching assistants and therapists, to create individualized learning strategies that support each student's needs and goals.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere where students feel respected, motivated, and empowered to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional methods as needed to enhance development and build on each student's strengths.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities focused on SEN best practices, furthering your expertise to support students effectively and compassionately.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Key Stage 2 teaching; prior experience or knowledge in SEN education is highly advantageous.
  • An empathetic and adaptable teaching style with a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that values each student's unique abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with SEN staff, parents, and other support professionals to create a cohesive support system for students.
  • Dedication to inclusive education with the ability to design accessible lesson plans that allow each student to make meaningful progress at their own pace.
  • A current Enhanced DBS check required to ensure a safe and secure environment for all students.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme, comprehensive training, and opportunities for career advancement.
