Maintenance Team Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at Be Personnel Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading road maintenance activities on trunk roads in the North West of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance professionals to ensure the successful delivery of road maintenance projects.
  • Administer records, including timesheets, scheme files, and other relevant documentation.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Work closely with the South Area Operations Manager to develop and implement cyclic maintenance programmes.
  • Produce rotas for emergency and winter maintenance tasks.
  • Carry out site visits to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in road maintenance, with a proven track record of leadership and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to work within budget constraints.
  • A full UK driving licence.
