Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable young people and their families. As a Support Worker on a 14.8 hours (2 day) temporary contract, you will be part of a highly experienced team, delivering flexible and responsive care and support that includes respite, outreach, and family support.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will work with young people in their homes and at our centres, building strong, trusting relationships and engaging with them and their families in meaningful ways to foster resilience, improve connections, and support lasting positive change.
  • Our trauma-informed approach means that we understand and recognise the impact of trauma on young people's development and behaviour. You will work sensitively and collaboratively with families to help them address the underlying causes of distress; prioritising safety, trust, and empowerment in every interaction.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of working with adolescents who may present with complex emotional and behavioural needs, ideally within a trauma-informed context. You should also have some experience of working with parents and/or carers and as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team. A flexible approach to working hours, including some evenings and weekends, is essential.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is approximately £18,500 - £20,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including generous annual leave, pension scheme, and access to training and development opportunities.
