We are seeking a highly skilled Geo-environmental Engineer to join our team in Durham. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geology, experience in contaminated land projects, and a full UK driving licence.
Job OverviewThis is an excellent opportunity for a geo-environmental engineer to work on exciting projects, including expansion plans and technically challenging ground investigations. You will be part of a ground investigation team based in Durham who offer a wide range of contaminated land projects and the training required to further develop your skills.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of geology, contaminated land regulations, and soil mechanics. They will also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct site investigations and gather data using various techniques such as drilling, sampling, and testing.
- Analyze data and create reports on findings.
- Work closely with colleagues to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A degree in geology or a related field.
- Experience working on contaminated land projects.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
