Job Title: Academic Mentor

Salary: £27,000 – £33,000

Location: Bishops Stortford - Hertfordshire

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time

At Whitetrees Group, we are seeking an experienced Academic Mentor to join our team. The successful candidate will work with pupils who require additional support, providing tailored education and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

The role involves working 1:1 with pupils, implementing strategies and interventions designed by our Wellbeing team to ensure a safe and engaging learning environment. The Academic Mentor will be responsible for the attainment, progress, and outcomes of the pupil, and will work closely with our team to provide a comprehensive support package.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each pupil
  2. Work closely with the Wellbeing team to implement strategies and interventions
  3. Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, making adjustments to the learning plan as needed
  4. Provide regular feedback and support to pupils, parents, and carers

Requirements:

  1. Minimum education standard to A-level or equivalent
  2. Experience in planning, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating lessons
  3. Experience working with pupils who have SEMH
