Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced LGV driver to join our team at Stobart. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trailers and goods across our network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate LGV vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Ensure trailers are placed in the correct locations and that all safety checks are completed prior to movement.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders using two-way radios and other communication tools.
  • Report any defects, accidents, or incidents to the transport department in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and that fuel levels are adequate.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Adhere to all company standards of hygiene and housekeeping.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an LGV driver, preferably in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-disciplined and motivated individual.
