Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Gist Wardpark. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our logistics services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to meet current and anticipated requirements to enable the site to achieve service expectations.
  • Address customer concerns immediately and escalate where appropriate in a timely manner.
  • Manage transport resources in line with operational and budgetary requirements, including shift rota management to maintain service levels.
  • Plan and manage operational resources to optimise the utilisation of labour and equipment to effectively manage forecasted volumes.
  • Ensure effective communication links between colleagues and other shifts to ensure operational consistency and drive high standards and flag opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience of working in a multi-customer centric operation and planning operational resources.
  • In-depth knowledge of drivers' rules, regulations and WTD and have a national/international CPC.
