About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our small but busy Project Management team at Pearson Whiffin - Manufacturing, Engineering & Technical. This is a rare opportunity for an Engineering professional to take on a Project Manager role and contribute to the success of our market-leading business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee new product development projects, including reporting on project process, budgets, scheduling, risk management, and resource management.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Analyze and report on various elements of the project, providing financial reports, forecasts, estimates, and managing budgets.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement and ensure adherence to KPIs.
  • Perform any other duties required to support the project team.
Requirements
  • Significant experience working within New Product Development / Innovation with a track record of understanding the NP process end to end.
  • Ideal experience with safety-critical projects and some Project Management experience, with a desire to develop a career in this area.
  • Education to degree level or equivalent within Engineering or Science.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Clear leadership and organizational skills, with a track record of personal presentation and a team-oriented, logical, and results-focused mentality.
  • Technical skills using systems and software, with a focus on continuous improvement and LEAN skills training such as 5S.
