About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Manager to join our team at our Acock's Green shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the shop manager to maintain a high level of customer service and achieve sales targets.
- Develop and lead a team of retail assistants, providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- In the absence of the shop manager, be responsible for the overall operation of the shop, ensuring that customers are looked after, deliveries are processed efficiently, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy environment.
- Contribute to the control of operational costs, including shrinkage, waste, and payroll, by motivating and guiding your team to work efficiently and effectively.
- Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and helping them to settle into their roles.
