About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Plant HR Manager to provide an effective HR service to Managers and Employees within our Aberdare factory. As part of the broader UK HR Team, you will work in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment, providing first-line support and guidance on HR topics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of best practice human resource solutions to improve performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Implement HR strategy, including compensation and benefits, training, recruitment programs, and employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance with Prysmian Group and UK policies and procedures, escalating as necessary.
  • Manage absence, provide guidance to Managers, and organize weekly absence meetings.
  • Coordinate recruitment, including screening CVs, participating in interviews, and drafting offers of employment.
  • Manage onboarding and induction processes.
  • Handle employee relations issues, supporting Managers with investigations and problem resolution.
  • Support Discipline and Grievance processes and provide guidance to Line Managers.
  • Implement actions identified via the annual Company's engagement survey and support Managers to grow participation.
  • Manage trade union relationships, including negotiation and agreement writing.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in generalist HR, preferably in an operational environment.
  • CIPD qualification (level 5) is desirable.
  • Proven ability to communicate at various levels.
  • Experience working with Trade Unions is beneficial.
  • Experience in advising on complex ER matters.
  • Thorough understanding of HR best practices and industry trends.
  • Experience and passion in leading mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
