Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Delivery team at MWH Treatment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the design, construction, commissioning, and putting to work of contracts to ensure they are completed efficiently, within the specified time, and within the tender estimate, while maintaining the highest level of health and safety standards and ensuring good customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote Exceptional Safety and Delivery Quality Standards: Ensure that direct and subcontracted workforce adhere to exceptional safety and delivery quality standards.
  • Implement BMS throughout the Project Delivery Process: Ensure that the Building Management System (BMS) is implemented at all stages of the project delivery process, from tender handover to final completion.
  • Maintain Good Client Relationships: Foster and maintain good relationships with clients at all levels.
  • Maintain Company Reputation: Ensure that the company's reputation is maintained on a project basis by maintaining good relationships with joint venture partners and suppliers.
  • Ensure Sufficient Trained Personnel: Ensure that sufficient trained personnel are available for the project and that they are aware of their individual responsibilities.
  • Plan and Monitor Projects: Plan projects, including reviewing and approving the Project Execution Plan (PEP), and then monitoring and controlling the delivery of projects.
  • Prepare and Approve Construction Plans: Ensure that appropriately detailed construction plans and method statements are prepared, in place, and approved prior to commencement of activities.
  • Ensure Contract Completion: Ensure that all records referred to in the PEP are complete and available at contract completion.
  • Manage Site Non-Conformities: Ensure that all site non-conformities are reported and approximate costs identified.
  • Manage Commercial Aspects: Ensure that all commercial aspects of the project are managed in a timely and proactive way, giving accurate forecasts and estimates.
  • Stay Current with Industry Changes: Ensure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking, conferences, associations, and groups to stay current on industry changes and innovations.
  • Undertake Additional Duties: Undertake such other duties, training, and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
  • Presentation and Relationships: In all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the department and MWH Treatment, and maintain mutually constructive, positive, and beneficial relationships.
  • Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies: Understand and implement the quality, safety, and environmental policies and targets.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Be aware of the need to satisfy customer requirements with the aim of enhancing the customers' perception and satisfaction.
  • Technical Knowledge: Maintain an appropriate practical knowledge and appreciation of all technical disciplines associated with delivering water and waste water design and build projects.
