We are seeking an experienced Chef to lead our kitchen team and provide high-quality meals for our residents. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing daily menus that cater to the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily menus to meet the dietary requirements and preferences of our residents.
- Create meals that are both tasty and visually appealing while managing food costs effectively.
- Monitor food stocks, order supplies, and maintain accurate records of inventory.
- Ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served according to the highest hygiene and safety standards.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and service.
- Implement and maintain health and safety procedures, including proper food handling and storage.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organised, including maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef in a care home or similar setting.
- Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols.
