CNC Wood Machinist Opportunity

GBR Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading Carpentry / Joinery business to recruit an experienced CNC Wood Machinist to operate and set up their 3 Axis Casadei Busellato CNC machine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, setting, and operating the CNC machinery to fabricate parts, as well as assisting with other wood preparation tasks and finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up CNC machinery to fabricate parts
• Assist with wood preparation tasks and finishing
• Operate power tools and woodworking machinery, including CNC, crosscut saw, wall and vertical panel saw, table saw/bench saw, mitre/chop saw, edge bander, planer, abrasive wheels, drills, laminator, and more
• Assist with pre-install assembly works (mock builds, dismantling, and packaging of components/parts)
• Maintain workshop housekeeping (cleaning of work areas, waste removal, storing raw materials)
• Perform general woodworking workshop duties as requested

Requirements:

• Experience in operating CNC machinery
• Knowledge of woodworking and machinery operation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Working Hours:

The role is a day shift position, Monday to Friday, with no shift work.
