Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Implementation: Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support the developmental needs of children in the nursery, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Environment Creation: Create a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment within the nursery, fostering a sense of community and belonging among children and staff.
  • Progress Monitoring: Observe and assess the progress of each child, maintaining accurate records for the nursery and providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, promoting a culture of teamwork and mutual respect.
  • Communication: Engage with parents and carers to provide regular updates on their child's progress, building strong relationships and promoting a sense of partnership.
  • Hygiene and Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the nursery, ensuring a healthy and safe environment for all children.
  • Positive Behavior: Promote positive behavior and social interaction among children in the nursery, encouraging empathy, respect, and kindness.
  • Policies and Procedures: Follow the nursery's policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all children, and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent, and a passion for early childhood education.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred, but not essential.
  • DBS: A clear DBS on the update service is required.
