Job Summary

The Medical Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional patient care and support
  • Managing patient appointments, queries, and prescription requests
  • Using computer systems to communicate and accurately input and extract patient information
  • Coordinating and integrating healthcare delivery with our team of doctors, nurses, and administrative staff
  • Using specific systems such as Care Navigation to help patients
Key Responsibilities

The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for:

  • Helping patients in person and on the phone with appointments, queries, and prescription requests
  • Using patient computer records and other systems to communicate and accurately input and extract information
  • Being a central point of contact for coordinating and integrating healthcare delivery
  • Using specific systems such as Care Navigation to help patients
  • Registering new patients and collecting basic information from them
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in primary care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Basic computer skills and experience with GP computer software (SystmOne)
