Job SummaryThe Medical Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing exceptional patient care and support
- Managing patient appointments, queries, and prescription requests
- Using computer systems to communicate and accurately input and extract patient information
- Coordinating and integrating healthcare delivery with our team of doctors, nurses, and administrative staff
- Using specific systems such as Care Navigation to help patients
The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for:
- Helping patients in person and on the phone with appointments, queries, and prescription requests
- Using patient computer records and other systems to communicate and accurately input and extract information
- Being a central point of contact for coordinating and integrating healthcare delivery
- Using specific systems such as Care Navigation to help patients
- Registering new patients and collecting basic information from them
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in primary care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Basic computer skills and experience with GP computer software (SystmOne)
Coxhoe Medical Practice offers a competitive salary, 5 weeks annual leave (pro rata), NHS pension, and uniform provided. We are committed to providing a supportive and efficient work environment, and we are looking for a team player who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
