Maintenance Engineer - Production Expert

A rewarding opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a leading PLC listed manufacturing business based in Nostell, Wakefield at a BRAND NEW Factory.

Job Overview:

  • The successful candidate will provide plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained.
  • Maintenance duties include maintaining factory manufacturing machinery, monitoring & supplying engineering support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards.
  • The role involves making sure PPMs and commisioning stages are followed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing maintenance services and supporting various departments to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Maintaining and repairing factory equipment and machinery to prevent downtime and ensure high-quality products.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and guidelines.

What You'll Need:

  • A recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent, e.g. NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or above - Mechanical or Electrical.
  • High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
  • Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Estimated salary: £51,097 per annum (when working 4 on 4 off days and nights).
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x.
