Overview

We welcome applications from experienced professionals who have strong supervisory skills within residential childcare, including Deputy Managers and Team Leaders looking for a career advancement. Our client offers comprehensive support for your development and progression, including fully funded qualifications and clear career pathways.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires a high level of expertise in managing care plans, upholding care standards, and developing quality assurance measures. You will work closely with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure the welfare of the young people in our care.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A deep understanding of BESD children and managing challenging behavior
  • Excellent management and communication skills
  • A commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children
  • Effective planning, organizing, and resource allocation skills
  • A full UK driving license
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with children in the past 5 years, including at least 1 year in a supervisory/senior position in residential care
  • Ability to motivate and support staff
  • NVQ 4 in Caring for Children & Young People (or equivalent) or working towards
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in children's residential care
What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 9 am to 5 pm
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
