HGV Technician Job Overview

Ford and Slater Limited is a leading DAF Truck dealer with 16 locations across the UK, employing over 900 staff. We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team at our Birtley depot.

Job Summary

This role involves performing routine maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles, working collaboratively with other technicians to meet production targets, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The successful candidate will have relevant experience as an HGV Technician, hold a valid HGV Technician qualification, and be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on HGV vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy and meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to achieve production targets, prioritizing tasks and managing workload efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety guidelines and company policies.

Requirements:
