About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Whittington Hospital NHS Trust. As a Speech and Language Therapist for Children, you will be responsible for assessing and treating children with speech, language, and communication difficulties in clinics, mainstream schools, and special schools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose children with speech, language, and communication difficulties
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to meet the needs of children
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support to children
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of children and make adjustments to therapy plans as needed
  • Provide training and support to school staff and parents on speech and language development

Requirements

  • Diploma, Degree, or MSC in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • Registered Member of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists
  • Experience of working with children in clinics and schools
  • Ability to assess and prioritize for therapy
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Organizational skills
