Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Holmhurst Medical Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working autonomously to deliver independent assessment, clinical examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake consultations as an autonomous practitioner, using advanced clinical practice skills and own clinical judgement to diagnose, treat, prescribe, and refer.
  • Be proactive in clinical decision making, underpinned by an advanced level of theoretical and practical knowledge.
  • Be included in the Duty GP rota as required by practice needs and the clinical role.
  • Maintain a high standard of patient-focused care in accordance with practice guidelines and policies.
  • Enable the clinical team to work effectively and provide a high-quality service to patients and to work effectively with other agencies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be a qualified prescriber with strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills. They will be required to work autonomously in delivering independent assessment, clinical examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning. The ideal candidate will have a nursing or paramedic background and be a Level 7 Independent Prescriber.

  • 2 years of paramedic experience
  • 1 year of nursing experience
  • Valid NMC or HCPC registration
  • PG certification
  • Irmer certification (desirable)
  • MSc (desirable)
