Leader in Care: Substance Misuse Nurse

An award-winning Community Drug and Alcohol Misuse Charity based in the UK is looking for a dedicated Substance Misuse Nurse to join their specialist Addictions Clinic in Gravesend.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a genuine interest in Substance Misuse treatment to provide front-line clinical care to service users.

  • Vaccinations including Blood-Borne Virus screening, HIV/Hepatitis B/C screening
  • ECGs
  • Alcohol and opiate detoxification
  • Health Promotion and Rehabilitation
About the Role:
  1. RGN or RMN qualified Nurse with relevant experience
  2. Demonstrable experience or interest in addictions
  3. Titration experience is highly desired
  4. Current and valid registration with the NMC and a legal right to work in the UK

While prior experience within addictions is not necessary, you must be able to demonstrate your passion for this field of Nursing and explain how you have gained experience, developed transferable skills, and become interested in Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services.
