Deputy Ward Manager Opportunity

Spire St Anthony Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our dynamic and forward-thinking ward nursing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the wards, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and supporting the Ward Manager in achieving clinical excellence.

About the Role

  • Assess patient health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
  • Deliver care to meet individual health and wellbeing needs.
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive, or contentious information.
  • Develop own knowledge and skills, as well as those of others.
  • Promote best practice in health and safety and security.
  • Maintain and develop services.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with experience in an acute environment.
  • Ability to work in teams with minimum supervision.
  • Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration.
  • Experience of working in a leadership position.
