Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Band 7 Head Occupational Therapist - ASD Residential. This role involves leading a team of Occupational Therapists and OT support staff to develop and implement evidence-based practice and occupational therapy pathways. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Occupational Therapists and OT support staff to develop and implement evidence-based practice and occupational therapy pathways. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care and services to individuals with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice and occupational therapy pathways.
  • Lead a team of Occupational Therapists and OT support staff to deliver high-quality care and services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care plans.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including families, carers, and other professionals.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy (e.g., BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy).
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
