Job Duties:
  • Provide tutoring in English and Maths subjects at GCSE level
  • Work with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Create personalised learning plans to support individual student needs
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge in English and Maths subjects at GCSE level
  • Experience working with students who have SEMH needs
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching/tutoring role

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional training or certification in Special Education Needs (SEN)
  • Experience in using technology for teaching and learning
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a learner's home setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
