Salary and Benefits
The starting salary for this role is £21,500 per annum, rising each year as part of our structured Apprenticeship Programme. In addition to your salary, you will receive a range of benefits, including 25 days' paid holiday per year, life assurance, and access to our award-winning contributory pension scheme. You will also be entitled to discounted gym membership and retail vouchers.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Department as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. You will work closely with our team to maintain and improve our production processes, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality products to our customers. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and control engineering, and will work towards achieving your BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include performing plant maintenance and conducting failure diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and replacement of our highly automated control systems, mechanical, electrical, and production systems. You will also learn about food and safety legislation, and will be responsible for fault-finding and fixing mechanical and electrical components. You will work collaboratively with our team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance our processes and products.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have achieved 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) to include a Level 5 or above in Maths, a Level 4 or above in English, and a Level 4 or above in either science or ICT. You must also be able to be flexible around work patterns, including shifts, weekends, and evenings. A passion for engineering, excellent analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities are essential, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
