Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer Specialist to join our team at Royal Preston Hospital. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Main Duties

As a Radiographer Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert radiography services to patients, including plain film imaging and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff to ensure high standards of practice.
  • Coordinating and managing the department's workload, including prioritizing tasks and allocating resources.
  • Developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BSc/Dip in Diagnostic Radiography and HCPC registration.
  • Minimum 12 months post-qualification experience in a radiography role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to expand your clinical role.
