This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services.

The Role
As a Pressure Compliance Specialist, you'll provide technical guidance and ensure compliance within the UK regulatory framework. This role will be crucial in safeguarding personnel, assets, and the environment from pressure-related hazards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical guidance on UK pressure regulations, including the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), Pressure Systems Regulations (PSR) 2016, and Approved Documents (ADs).
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify pressure-related hazards and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK legislation through interpreting and applying regulations to various aspects of pressure equipment design, manufacturing, installation, and operation.
  • Reviewing technical documents to ensure compliance with pressure regulations.
  • Investigating pressure-related incidents and near misses, ensuring safety is maintained.
  • Staying updated with regulatory changes and contributing to internal pressure management policies.

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week, and is based on site at Hinkley Point C.

Essential Experience

  • Strong experience in applying UK pressure regulations, with a solid understanding of pressure equipment design, manufacturing, and operation.
  • Proficiency in writing technical documents and generating reports.
  • Extensive knowledge in the procedural requirements of the pressure testing of piping systems. (Hydraulic and Pneumatic)
  • Extensive knowledge of pressure-related standards such as ASME B16.

Qualifications

  • A degree in engineering or a related technical field is required.

Security Clearance
