Job Title: Cost Management Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Management Specialist to join our team in Cookstown. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing electrical design and automation projects, ensuring they are delivered within budget, schedule, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Develop and manage accurate cost estimates for electrical design and automation components, from initial concept through to project completion.
- Procurement & Contract Management: Oversee the procurement process, including managing supplier and subcontractor relationships, issuing tenders, and negotiating contracts for electrical and automation components.
- Project Cost Control & Reporting: Implement effective cost control mechanisms throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and understanding of project scope and objectives.
Requirements:
- Education & Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience & Skills: Experience as a Cost Management Specialist, with a focus on electrical design and manufacturing of automation components.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
- Personal Attributes: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
