Job Summary:
BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their Operations division team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks including metal fabrication, plate work, and assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out metal fabrication and plate work tasks to a high standard, adhering to quality control procedures.
- Operate a range of machinery including guillotines, rolling machines, and drilling machines.
- Assist in the repair and refit of Royal Naval and Commercial vessels, working in various workshops throughout the dockyard.
- Develop and demonstrate advanced plate work techniques, contributing to the success of the team.
Requirements:
- Good hand tool knowledge and experience in sheet metal fabrication and different types of materials.
- Ability to interpret and work from drawings and guidance as required.
- Flexibility, hard work, and punctuality are essential in this role.
