Role Overview:

We are seeking passionate and experienced SEND Tutors to join GSL Education in delivering personalized and engaging tutoring sessions that help students improve their understanding and performance in key subjects. As a dedicated provider of education support, we specialize in offering high-quality tutoring in core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science, to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions in English, Maths, or Science, specifically tailored for SEND students.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans that address each student's unique strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to make learning engaging and accessible for SEND students.
  • Track and report on student progress, providing regular feedback to both students and parents.
  • Prepare SEND students for exams and assessments, offering strategies for success.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student confidence and independence.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related subject (e.g., a degree in English, Maths, Science, Education, or equivalent).
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching core subjects to students with SEND.
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and exam requirements for English, Maths, and Science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping SEND students succeed.
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
