About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Crop Manager to join our team at McCain Foods. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for supporting our growers in the specified region to deliver high-quality potatoes on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Regional Agriculture Manager to develop and implement strategic plans to improve potato quality and yield.
  • Work closely with growers to ensure they have the necessary resources and support to meet contractual commitments.
  • Provide technical and commercial guidance to growers to optimize potato crop production and quality.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with growers, growers' groups, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and analyze crop data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address any issues.
  • Ensure that growers adhere to best practices and industry standards for potato production.
  • Collaborate with the Crop Management Technician to ensure timely and accurate crop intelligence is shared with all interested parties.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in agricultural development, potato production, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of potato crop production, quality control, and agronomy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with growers and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to improve potato quality and yield.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for potato production.
