SEND Teaching Assistant

We are proud to be working with an independent school for children with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

The school caters for children and young people from the age of 3-25 and takes a collaborative approach with their teaching, nursing, and therapy teams.

All pupils are wheelchair users and require support with personal care. They have access to fantastic facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms, onsite physiotherapists, and registered nurses.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be providing support to 3-25 year olds with SEND. Your working hours will be from 8:30am-4:00pm.

Job Requirements
  • Experience of supporting pupils with PMLD
  • Confident and willing to support with personal care
  • Willing to support with hydrotherapy and rebound therapy
  • Good interpersonal and administration skills
  • Creative and patient mindset with a keen eye for detail
  • Manual Handling Training and Level 2 Safeguarding Training required
