About the Role

Cheadle Hulme School is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Finance to join their Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising processes, identifying new opportunities, and developing the long-term strategic plan for the school's finance team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of sustainable finance strategies, aligning them with the School's Strategic Plan.
  • Build strong relationships and partnerships to support strategic priorities.
  • Implement robust policies, procedures, and systems for the Finance team.
  • Establish a management information framework for strategic decision-making.
  • Benchmark performance against other organisations to drive improvement.
  • Oversee procurement and contract management systems.
  • Manage the School's Risk Management framework.
  • Lead organisational change programmes.
  • Review the performance and structure of the Finance department.

About You

  • You will have a full Accountancy Qualification (ACCA/ CIMA/ CIPFA/ ACA).
  • You will have extensive experience of developing, leading, and delivering successful finance strategies.
  • You will have a track record of developing high-quality financial and performance management information.
  • You will have expertise in building effectively partnerships and/or relationships with key stakeholders.
  • You will have strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • You will have proven ability to identify new opportunities/challenges to inform key decision making.
