Clinical Specialist Nurse

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Endocrine Specialist Nurse to join our team at NHS Lothian. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist advice to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the management of patient conditions through the assessment, treatment and review planning process in partnership with the patient / carer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients and relatives.
- Support the development of the service to improve practice and work collaboratively across healthcare boundaries, implementing and evaluating evidence based standards, guidelines and policies.
- Undertake the role of the specialist nurse, utilising specialist clinical knowledge to inform decision making and clinical judgment.
Requirements:
- A PVG Scheme membership/record is required for this post.
- The post holder must have a strong understanding of endocrine conditions and be able to provide specialist advice to the multidisciplinary team.
