Regulatory Compliance Director

As a leader in the housing and support services sector, Thirteen Group is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as Head of Regulatory Compliance Services. Reporting to the Director of Repairs & Maintenance, this role will provide leadership and accountability for compliance with legislation and best practices across all contract programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead client/contractor relationships, ensuring detailed progress reports and addressing remedial actions where necessary.
  • Manage property compliance programs, including gas, electrical, asbestos, lifts, and legionella, to maintain regulatory standards and comprehensive risk registers.
  • Control program expenditure, forecast budgets, oversee procurement processes, and maintain effective contractor relationships.
  • Provide technical expertise to the Leadership Team and Board, supporting business planning, driving continuous improvement, achieving team targets, and maintaining high customer satisfaction above 90%.
Requirements:
  • Excellent financial and business acumen, with the ability to forecast budgets and ensure effective planning and delivery of multiple, complex work-streams.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in compliance contract management, including asbestos, lifts, legionella, gas, and electrical safety and compliance works.
  • Demonstrate previous accountability for health and safety management at a senior level.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate employees and result in a high-performing team.
  • A thorough understanding and track record of managing conflicting priorities within a commercial operation.
  • Successful management of substantial revenue budgets and commercial awareness.
