Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

At Babcock International Group, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you'll play a key role in our Clean Energy Business, supporting our International Business in Japan and the USA.

The Role

You'll develop an appropriate quality strategy for our business area, gaining agreement and sponsorship from our senior management team and aligning with our Cavendish Nuclear Quality Strategy.

  • Developing an effective quality strategy for our business area, gaining agreement and sponsorship from our senior management team and aligning with our Cavendish Nuclear Quality Strategy
  • Leading the definition and implementation of assurance activities for our business area, including supply chains and partnerships
  • Supporting our SSHEQR function in defining business processes, planning for quality, and proposing quality targets for our business area; and monitoring and reporting accordingly
  • Leading preparation for both internal and external audits
  • Ensuring that all quality events are promptly investigated and resolved at the correct level, and that key lessons learned from events are identified and promulgated

This role is full-time, with hybrid working arrangements and regular site visits.

Essential Experience

  • Good working knowledge and application of ISO (essential) and ISO (desirable)
  • NQA-1 experience is desirable
  • Ability to investigate events using industry best-practice causal analysis tools
  • Good working knowledge of the Nuclear industry or similar highly regulated industry

Qualifications

  • Science or Engineering degree (or equivalent)
  • Chartered member of the Quality Institute or registered on an appropriate CPD Scheme
  • Approved Auditor qualification (or demonstrable skills)

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
