About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of production employees and ensuring they have the necessary training and development to perform their roles effectively.
  • Monitoring and supporting new team members to ensure a smooth transition into the team.
  • Supporting the production team in completing production tasks and delivering shift handover processes, including all shift reporting documentation.
  • Working closely with the Quality team to manage product defects, implement root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Monitoring and managing absence and lateness levels, disciplinary matters, holiday allocation, and sickness cover.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in a team leader or supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and a focus on training and development of production employees.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume manufacturing environment and manage the pressures associated with it.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment procedures and excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
