Job Title: Management Accountant

Eastern Concrete Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in our financial and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop financial policies in agreement with the Head of Finance
  • Combine accounting skills with effective management to communicate financial information to stakeholders
  • Analyse business performance and provide insights to inform strategic decisions
  • Manage and reduce operational and production costs to improve business efficiency
  • Produce financial statements, including monthly management accounts, profit and loss accounts, budgets, and cashflows
  • Prepare statutory accounts and support audit files
  • Reconcile control accounts and general ledger entries
  • Oversee payroll submission and manage Accounts Assistants and Credit controller
  • Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes
Requirements:
  • Xero experience desirable but not essential
  • At least 5 years of people management experience, with a positive and can-do attitude
  • Proven technical ability with a strong commercial acumen
  • Understanding of modern management information systems
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to organise and manage workload to meet tight reporting deadlines
  • Strong communication skills to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a confident people manager
  • Qualified in CIMA/ACCA or ACA, or experienced at this level without qualifications
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:00. Flexible hours considered for the right candidate.
