Role Overview

Unity is seeking a skilled Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) expert to join our Guardian Team. As a key member of this team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our development process.

The Guardian Team is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our CI pipelines, identifying and addressing blocking issues, and proactively improving the efficiency and stability of our development process. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the continuous Merge Quality Verification (QV) operation for all Unity release branches
  • Rapidly identify, address, or appropriately delegate the resolution of any blocking issues in the CI pipelines
  • Proactively target and refine the slowest and most unstable segments of the CI pipelines to increase their overall quality over time
  • Exercise broad authority to maintain the health of the CI environment, including reverting Pull Requests, halting QV, and modifying or removing unstable tests and jobs as necessary
  • Define and enforce acceptance criteria for new jobs, ensuring they meet the required standards for performance and reliability before inclusion in the pipelines

Requirements

  • Strong experience and understanding of CI/CD principles, tools (such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar) and best practices
  • Proficiency in C#
  • Knowledge of software development processes and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting in a CI/CD environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues
