Job Summary
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatment, including administering medications, performing phlebotomy procedures, and maintaining accurate records. They will also be required to work collaboratively with the medical team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- To provide exceptional patient care, adhering to HFEA guidelines and NMC standards.
- To maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and data protection.
- To administer medications, perform phlebotomy procedures, and conduct ultrasound scans as required.
- To collaborate with the medical team to ensure effective care delivery and communication.
- To participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- To contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- To communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, demonstrating empathy and compassion.
- To provide support and guidance to junior staff members, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing (RGN or RMN) and current registration with the NMC.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in fertility nursing, preferably in a private sector setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality and data protection protocols.
- Knowledge of HFEA guidelines and NMC standards, with ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
Working Conditions
This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. The successful applicant will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is £43,500 per annum, plus benefits including annual leave, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development. We offer a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing support to ensure the successful candidate settles into their new role.
