Dartford, Kent, United Kingdom Laing O'Rourke Full time

Laing O'Rourke, a leading player in the UK's construction landscape, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Strategist to join its team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to drive financial performance and contribute to the success of the organization.

About Us

We are renowned for our commitment to delivering high-quality modular temporary accommodation and site solutions, playing a pivotal role in the delivery of some of the UK's most iconic construction projects.

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior financial expert who will act as a finance lead within one or more divisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts for the division, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Present divisional financials at monthly contract reviews, effectively communicating financial performance and strategic direction.
  • Promote financial understanding, controls, and diligence across the relevant divisions, interacting with non-finance staff on issues such as cash management and asset controls.
  • Lead the divisional capital investment program, assisting in writing capital business cases that align with organizational objectives.
  • Own the divisional fixed asset register, ensuring assets are accurately recorded, depreciated, and physically controlled.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant with experience in a commercial environment.

  • Effective communicator with a strong team ethic and desire to share knowledge.
  • Confident, ambitious, and well-rounded, able to relate to senior executives.
  • Analytical, flexible, and creative, with the ability to research complex issues and solve poorly defined problems in innovative ways.
  • Commercial acumen, with experience working across businesses and disciplines.

Salary Information
